I think companies have a lot to gain from hiring people from non-traditional backgrounds. I don't know that college is the only way to learn things. But companies want to lower their risks, and having a diploma often means that a person spent four years applying themself. (I know, it can be highly deluded.) I like the idea of high school grads who show initiative...and can do the job...that's the trick.

Re: Give High School Grads a Chance

I really wish companies would give high grads a chance. There are a lot of talented people being left behind and this really needs to change. I hope others who are part of the hiring decision making process in America change their minds and give high school grads a chance. Remember you have nothing to loose and everything to gain.

Jinnyn

Re: Give High School Grads a Chance

Everyone needs college these days to get A JOB. But if you're an entrepreneur, college is not necessary.

Andrew Gunther
---------------------
http://www.skoogo.com
