Some animals are more equal than others.

    Answer: it's a crap lesson.

Animals like Geitner and Daschle come to mind as well.

Mark, I agree. I think it's a real mistake for those guys to be appointed. I
thought things were going to be different. What does this say about a CEO, a
company, or the person? I think Daschle can't be in...and Geitner's gotta
    go.

The "code of ethics" link above includes this paragraph for whistleblowers :

    # The Microsemi Alert Line has been established for the anonymous and confidential reporting of suspected violations. The Microsemi Alert Line is a message tool that provides three modes of communication: Voice mail, E-mail and "over the web" input. Each is available 24 hours a day. The voice mail mode is toll-free and anonymous. The voice mail number is: (866) 537-4617. The E-mail mode requires that you send an E-mail to mscc@openboard.info. The web input is accessed at https://www.openboard.info/mscc. These modes of communication are for use by Microsemi directors, officers, employees or contracted personnel anywhere in the world. Information you provide using the Alert Line will be promptly transmitted to Microsemi's legal counsel or Board of Directors.

Take a moment and let them know about ethics violations they might be "unaware of"!

This is the hide in plain site approach that was perfected on Mission Impossible. If you're going to lie, lie big. Hmmm....scary. There are a lot of people who should be ashamed on this one. I think I might call that number today...just to remind them.

This is an example of double standards which is totally unacceptable.

It is unethical. And it sends a huge message to everyone else in the company that ethical relativisim is okay.
